From the Los Angeles skate scene to Milan fashion

Before creating the brand, Francesco Ragazzi — an Italian photographer and designer — worked as art director at Moncler. In 2014 he published the photobook "Palm Angels" (Rizzoli), a black-and-white record of the Los Angeles skate scene; the image of the skater suspended over the board beneath the palm trees gave the project its name. In January 2015, together with New Guards Group, he turned it into a fashion brand, with its first collection in autumn-winter 2015: an American urban visual code (skate, graffiti, Los Angeles street style) taken to Italian production and fit. In February 2025 Bluestar Alliance acquired Palm Angels.
